Oktoberfest 2025 Prepares for Exciting New Rides, Souvenirs, and Music

Get ready for an unforgettable experience at Oktoberfest 2025! This year's event promises a fresh lineup of rides, new souvenir designs, and an original song from the Oktoberfest fan community.

Construction work for amusement rides began in late August, with roller coasters, Ferris wheels, and water rides being installed first. From September 3, bumper cars, ghost trains, roundabout rides, show rides, slides, and chain flyers were set up. By September 8, all other fairground attractions were put into place, ensuring a full carnival experience with both classic and new rides for 2025.

A new Oktoberfest motive for souvenirs is already available for pre-order as of late July. This suggests that souvenir items such as mugs, apparel, and memorabilia featuring this fresh design will be sold during the festival.

However, specific details about the official Wiesn song for 2025 have not been announced yet. Typically, the Wiesn song is a traditional or newly composed tune that captures the spirit of Oktoberfest.

The festival takes place in Munich from September 20th to October 5th. Traditional tents like Schottenhamel, Hofbräu-Festzelt, Augustiner-Festhalle, and the more upscale Käfer Wies’n-Schänke, each offering distinctive atmospheres, will be open during the event. It is recommended to reserve spots in tents and accommodations well in advance due to high demand.

Barrier-free access is a priority at Oktoberfest 2025. The "Sky Lift" ride is dizziness and barrier-free, with wheelchair access to the gondolas. More streets on the festival grounds are becoming barrier-free, and barrier-free carousels and tents will be available this year.

A new ride called "Happy Sailor" is introduced at the Oktoberfest, featuring 20 rotating gondolas. The singer-songwriter Oimara alias Beni Hafner is the current favorite for the Oktoberfest hit with his song "Wackelkontakt".

Munich's Economic Affairs and Wiesn chief, Christian Scharpf, stated that preparations for the Oktoberfest are on schedule. A group from the "Pfennigparade" foundation will test the accessibility offers at the Oktoberfest.

Approximately six million visitors are expected at the Oktoberfest, which is the world's largest folk festival. Don't miss out on the fun – plan early and secure your Oktoberfest experience!
