The 25th edition of the Leipzig Water Festival (Leipziger Wasserfest) is just around the corner, taking place from August 15th to 17th, 2025. This annual event, celebrating the city's waterways, promises a weekend filled with music, boat parades, and family-friendly activities.

The festival is not just about markets, though. Highlights include the Museumsfeldbahn at the Lindenauer Hafen, a traditional driving day on Sunday, August 17th; a jazz evening at Mörtelwerk on Friday, August 15th; an immersive show, grill, and music party at Kunstkraftwerk on Saturday, August 16th; children's fun and "lucky readings" at the Philippus Garden on the Karl-Heine-Kanal on Saturday; and a bar from Kokille Leipzig at the Stelzenhaus landing stage throughout the festival.
